Laying the foundation

The year we started building the Save the Animals shop, and the support behind it.

A letter from our Executive Director

Dear friends,

When the IRS recognized Save the Animals as a 501(c)(3) public charity in 2024, we had a name, a mission, and a simple conviction: everyone who loves wildlife should have a way to help protect it.

2025 was the year we started turning that conviction into something you can hold. We really began dedicating our time to expanding the Save the Animals shop, with original designs for the Turbo Kitties, Snorkel Giants, and Chubby Unicorns of the world. Every item is printed on demand, so nothing sits in a warehouse, and 100% of proceeds go to wildlife reserves.

By the numbers, it was a small year, and we want to be honest about that. But we weren't building alone. Google's Ad Grant program gave us $120,000 in donated advertising, and Google Workspace for Nonprofits gave us the tools to run lean. That support is the foundation everything else stands on.

We're living through the greatest extinction crisis since the dinosaurs, and the rangers and reserves standing between animals and extinction are chronically underfunded. Every shirt, every gift, and every share is a small act of protection. Together, those acts add up.

Thank you for being here at the very beginning. The best is ahead of us.

With gratitude,

Todd Lehman

Looking ahead

2026 and beyond

With the foundation in place, we're focused on growing the shop, building our first grant partnerships with conservationists on the ground, and opening new ways for everyone to take part in protecting wildlife.
