Our Team

Todd started Save the Animals to give everyone who shares the calling a way to contribute to conservation, together. A conservation-driven executive and lifelong environmentalist, he has a founder's instinct for building the organizations, technology, and partnerships that protect the natural world.

As Program Director at Wildlife Protection Solutions, he helped expand hundreds of conservation-technology projects around the globe — building the data and donor systems behind a $6M+ fundraising base, pioneering AI tools for conservation, and growing the organization's storytelling to a 116,000+ subscriber YouTube channel and a nationwide VR program. Earlier, he co-founded Clear Intentions, Colorado's first glass-recycling manufacturer, keeping more than 17 million pounds of glass out of landfills.

He holds a degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the University of Utah, and today leads Save the Animals and its Wild Eyes platform — channeling technology and community toward diminishing the plight of endangered species around the planet.

Ashley Taylor is a marine conservation educator and dive professional based in Maui, Hawaii. A PADI and NAUI Scuba Instructor with 3,000+ logged dives, she has spent the better part of a decade connecting people to the ocean — guiding and training divers across Hawaii, the Philippines, Costa Rica, and beyond, and completing marine-biology and conservation fieldwork in Fiji and Bali, from reef and fish surveys at WWF sites to hands-on coral restoration.

She pairs that field experience with a BFA in education and a conservation ethic that reaches well beyond the water — from captaining vessels in the Arctic to founding Abejas Beeswax Co and championing pollinators and native habitat. Ashley lives by Freeman Tilden's principle: "Through interpretation, understanding; through understanding, appreciation; through appreciation, protection."

Shiran Hershcovich is an entomologist from Panama City, Panama, and a Senior Lepidopterist Manager at Butterfly Pavilion, where she curates the conservatory's living collections of butterflies. She's passionate about understanding and conserving invertebrates, and works on local and international research and conservation initiatives — from field assessments of vulnerable butterfly populations in Mongolia to the construction of a sustainable butterfly farm in Indonesia.

She serves on the board of directors of the International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers (IABES). A believer in the power of community to increase accessibility and action in conservation, she leads community-science projects like the Colorado Butterfly Monitoring Network (CBMN) and Butterfly Quest, a lepidopteran longevity study open to all Butterfly Pavilion guests.

Matthew Hron is a technologist who has spent two decades bringing a love of nature into his work. He began his career at Epic, the healthcare-software company, where he built a foundation in problem-solving, project management, customer service, and leadership — along with strong technical fundamentals and an ethic of doing the right thing over what's most expedient.

Alongside that career, he pursued the work closest to his heart, interning with VulPro, the South African vulture-conservation organization, and the Denver Zoo. At Wildlife Protection Solutions he brought both paths together, designing, implementing, and supporting scalable technology that protects wildlife around the globe. He brings that experience to Save the Animals' board, helping guide the technology and operations that put resources where they matter most.
